Civil Air Patrol operates the World’s largest fleet (535) of single-engine, piston aircraft. The majority of these aircraft are Cessna 172 (as seen above) and Cessna 182. These aircraft are used for all our aerial missions from actual search & rescue (SAR) missions to cadet orientation flights and training.
